On March 2, real estate partner Salvatore Gogliormella and associate Peter Borock gave a presentation, “Guidance on Commercial Leases During the Pandemic,” to a group of New York area nonprofit organizations at the request of New York Lawyers for the Public Interest and Candid, a leading provider of information on grants and nonprofits. The presentation covered topics such as whether tenants can cancel their leases or pay less rent during the pandemic, what landlords can do if tenants default, and whether and how tenants can negotiate accommodations with their landlords.
