On May 7, real estate partner Salvatore Gogliormella and associate Peter Borock gave a presentation at the request of New York Lawyers for the Public Interest and Lawyers Alliance for New York to 300 small businesses and not-for-profit organizations. The presentation, “Guidance on Commercial Leases During the Pandemic,” covered topics such as whether tenants can cancel their leases or pay less rent during the pandemic, what landlords can do if tenants default, and whether and how tenants can negotiate accommodations with their landlords.
