Securities partner Mark Bergman participated in a panel, “Regulatory Developments Affecting the Capital Markets in Europe,” as part of the Practising Law Institute’s Twentieth Annual Institute on Securities Regulation in Europe: Practical Implications of U.S. Law on EU Practice. Mark discussed recent proposals in the UK to amend applicable regulations and listing rules to attract more issuers, including SPACs, to the London market, recent regulatory trends in the United States affecting SPACs, and how those trends may impact the development of the SPAC markets in the UK and the EU, post-Brexit developments and other recent capital markets developments.
