Bankruptcy partner Elizabeth McColm spoke on a panel at the 2019 Complex Financial Restructuring Program. Elizabeth’s panel, “Bringing the Holdouts to the Table,” discussed that, while Chapter 11 is an effective tool to bind lenders to a transaction, it is not the only option available to advisers, and offered strategies to bring holdouts to the table to negotiate a consensual deal so that a Chapter 11 filing can be avoided. The event took place on February 27 in Las Vegas.
