Real estate counsel Barry Langman moderated a roundtable and Q&A session, “Identifying Opportunities with Long Term Potential,” with Albert Laboz, a principal at United American Land. The event was hosted by Young Jewish Professionals, a network that organizes events and mentorships to help facilitate relationship-building and learning opportunities for young members of the business community. Paul, Weiss client United American Land is a real estate development, investment and management company with a focus on restoring historic buildings in Manhattan and Brooklyn and reorienting them for retail, commercial and residential use. At the event, the participants discussed the current state of the real estate market in New York City (including in light of COVID-19 and the mayoral race); how to evaluate potential real estate investments in the present environment; and advice for young people interested in building careers in real estate.
