Seven Seven Six Forms First TGL Golf Team Ownership Group With Serena and Venus Williams

Paul, Weiss is advising Seven Seven Six (776), a venture capital firm founded by investor Alexis Ohanian, in the formation of the Los Angeles Golf Club alongside tennis legends Serena Williams and Venus Williams. The ownership group is the first of six created in connection with TGL, a new tech-forward team golf league developed by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy’s TMRW Sports in partnership with the PGA TOUR. The Los Angeles Golf Club will compete in TGL’s first season launching in January 2024 in a purpose-built arena in Palm Beach, Florida. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
