Roark Makes Strategic Investment in The Cheesecake Factory

Paul, Weiss advised affiliates of Roark Capital in a $200 million convertible preferred investment in The Cheesecake Factory Incorporated. In connection with this investment, the board of directors of The Cheesecake Factory will be expanded from eight to nine members and Roark President Paul Ginsberg will join as an independent member. The Cheesecake Factory owns and operates 294 restaurants throughout the U.S. and Canada under The Cheesecake Factory^® and North Italia^® brands and operates a collection within the Fox Restaurant Concepts subsidiary.
