Perry Ellis Authorizes Special Committee to Evaluate George Feldenkreis Proposal

Paul, Weiss is representing a special committee of independent directors of Perry Ellis International, Inc. in evaluating a proposal from George Feldenkreis to acquire the company. Feldenkreis, whose role as executive chairman was eliminated in September 2017 and who founded the Doral, Florida-based apparel company 50 years ago, has teamed with Fortress Investment Group LLC for the acquisition bid of $27.50 a share, or about $430 million.
