Golden Gate Capital Sells The Learning Experience to Harvest Partners

Paul, Weiss advised San Francisco-based private equity firm Golden Gate Capital in its sale of a majority stake in The Learning Experience (TLE), a leading provider of early childhood education, to funds managed by Harvest Partners, LP. Under the terms of the deal TLE’s management team, led by co-founder and CEO Richard Weissman, will continue to lead TLE and remain significant owners of the business; Golden Gate will also retain a minority position in TLE. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The Paul, Weiss team was led by corporate partners Jeremy Veit and Austin Pollet, and included tax partner Robert Holo; environmental partner Stefanie Gitler; intellectual property partner Jonathan Ashtor and counsel Matthew Rosenberg; and executive compensation partner Lawrence Witdorchic.
