Encana Completes Redomestication Transaction and Rebrands as “Ovintiv”

Paul, Weiss advised Encana Corporation, a leading North American energy producer, in its corporate reorganization, which included completing a 5 for 1 share consolidation, redomesticating from Canada to the United States and rebranding under the name Ovintiv Inc. Ovintiv’s common stock began trading on the New York Stock Exchange and the Toronto Stock Exchange on January 27, 2020 under the symbol OVV.
