Declaration Partners Forms PE Syndication Fund, Acquires Stake in Viagogo

Paul, Weiss advised Declaration Partners in the formation of a private equity syndication fund, Declaration Partners Opportunity II. All capital commitments were fully funded at closing and will be used by Declaration to participate in a minority investment in Viagogo’s acquisition of StubHub.  Paul, Weiss simultaneously advised on Declaration’s participation in the acquisition.

The fund is the first investment vehicle advised by Declaration Partners with third-party capital. As part of the process, in January, Paul, Weiss advised Declaration Partners in the filing of its registration with the SEC as an investment adviser.

The Paul, Weiss team included, among others, corporate partners Udi Grofman and Edward Ackermann, counsel Phil Heimowitz, Yuni Sobel and Marta Kelly; and tax partners Patrick Karsnitz and David Sicular.
