Paul, Weiss is representing global technology company Aptiv in an autonomous driving joint venture with Hyundai Motor Group. The joint venture will advance the design, development and commercialization of SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) Level 4 and 5 autonomous technologies, the two most advanced levels of automation, in which no human interaction is required. As part of the agreement, Hyundai Motor Group and Aptiv will each have a 50 percent ownership stake in the joint venture, valued at a total of $4 billion.
