Asian Legal Business named Paul, Weiss a finalist across nine categories in the publication’s 2024 Japan Law Awards, which honor the outstanding performance of legal practitioners, teams and firms in Japan over the past year.
The firm is a finalist for “Japan Law Firm of the Year” and “International Deal Firm of the Year” and is also a “Firm of the Year” finalist in the Banking and Financial Services, Capital Markets and Private Equity practice areas. Additionally, corporate partner Tong Yu is shortlisted as a “Dealmaker of the Year” for the eighth time.
The firm is also shortlisted for three “Deal of the Year” recognitions: “Debt Market Deal of the Year” for our role representing Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group in its public offering of senior notes in five tranches, and “M&A Deal of the Year (Midsize)” for advising both Lundin Mining in its strategic stake acquisition in Lumina Copper and Mizuho in its acquisition of Greenhill.
Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in Tokyo on June 12.
