Asian Legal Business (ALB) shortlisted Paul, Weiss across five categories in its 2025 Japan Law Awards, which recognizes the top legal practitioners and firms in Japan for their achievements and contributions to the industry. The firm is a finalist for “International Deal Firm of the Year” and for two “M&A Deal of the Year – Premium” awards, for advising on Apollo’s acquisition of Panasonic Automotive Systems, led by corporate partner Tong Yu and counsel Chikara Momota, and on the sale of MDC Holdings to Sekisui House, led by corporate partners Bob Schumer and Michael Vogel. Corporate partner Tong Yu is also a finalist for both “Dealmaker of the Year” and “Foreign Lawyer of the Year.”
Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in Tokyo on June 12.
