The acquisition of Chelsea Football Club by Paul, Weiss client Clearlake Capital and a consortium was recognized as European “Private Equity Deal of the Year” by the International Financial Law Review at its 2023 IFLR Europe Awards. A combined team of Paul, Weiss lawyers in New York and London advised Clearlake on the deal last year.
The IFLR Europe Awards recognize legal innovation in cross-border transactions that closed during the past year. Winners were announced at an awards ceremony in London on May 3.
